My Story
Hello, my name is Adam Rachman, and I have been a koi hobbyist for over 10 years. I started my koi journey in California with a 300-gallon wooden pond and quickly became captivated by the hobby. I began attending the San Diego Koi Show, consistently returning home with more koi than I intended. Since then, I have lived in Florida and Texas, and I now reside in Tennessee.
Throughout my travels, I have attended numerous koi shows and visited various shops, gathering as much knowledge as possible. In Tennessee, my current setups include a 3,000-gallon pond featuring a bottom drain connected to a RDF and a skimmer that flows into a bead filter, returning water to a bakki shower. Additionally, I have four indoor grow-out tanks ranging from 300 to 1,500 gallons, where I raise tosai.
I actively participate in koi shows, and I have collected numerous major awards and accolades for my koi at events in cities like Louisville, St. Louis, and Atlanta, including recognition for my achievements. My goal is to share my love for koi here in Tennessee and help grow the Tennessee Koi Association into one of the top koi clubs
